Hoi Ann Vietnam Photos

We really enjoyed visiting Hoi Ann, in cental Vietnam. A Unesco World Heritage site, the old town offers some truly great opportunities for photography as much of the area retains its 15th – 19th century architecture. Photographers must get up very early to shoot though, because as soon as the sun crests, which was around 5:30 – 6:00 AM, everything was almost immediately washed out.

We couldn’t resist coming home with a dozen or so of these Asia-style lanterns.

I would highly recommend anyone traveling through central Vietnam, to make a stop in Hoi Ann. Spend a couple days meandering through the old town and than hop on a motorbike and escape into the rural countryside
