First shot – sea kayaking Puget Sound
I had the chance to use my new Hoya Pro 1 Digital polarizer the other day during a quick sea kayak trip into Puget Sound. You can see the picture here.
The weather was actually pretty ideal for a polarizer, as a storm was rolling in from the Pacific while rays of sun shattered the dark blue sea. The only problem were the tides and wind, both of which were trying hard to shove me back to shore. Overall though I am pretty pleased with the shot and the outcome as it’s obvious the polarizer did it’s job of removing the reflection and saturating the colors a bit. Yes, it’s a bit dark but as a first effort I think I like what I see.
